Dale Friedland Attorneys (DFA)

was established on 1 August 2008

on the roll of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces by Dale Friedland [Bcomm;Llb; Wits University] as a law firm capable of servicing clients with a wide array of legal needs, from advising large corporations on labour matters to Civil litigation in the Magistrate’s and High Courts. Fees are negotiated and transparently evaluated on a matter by matter basis.

DFA has come to specialise in the following areas of law:

COMMERCIAL LITIGATION

  • Contract drafting tailored to client needs
  • Drafting founding documents incl. Shareholder’s agreements; Memoranda of Understanding; Mandate Agreements; Lease Agreements; Cession and Assignment docs, Confidentiality Agreements etc.
  • Workable solutions, short of litigation, in the instance of contract vitiation
  • Representing the client as both attorney and counsel in the lower courts
  • Representing the client at binding Arbitration forums
  • Proficiency in chairing disciplinary procedures
  • On call to advise clients of their rights in terms of relevant legislation incl. Labour Relations Act; Basic Conditions of Employment Act as well as Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act
  • Representing clients at the CCMA or other industry specific relevant employment dispute resolution councils
  • Representing clients in the Labour Court
